I have been given the task in repairing some shield back, duncan, federal style chairs. I am hoping someone else has tackled this type of project and has some pointers or suggestions. The only part that is giving me some pause is I need to make several of the rear legs. They are one piece glue up of course. The lower portion is on these type of chairs are square but as you get to the top portion they angle in about 8-10 degrees. Here are a few pics hopefully that will help explain. I know shaper comes into thought here but we are dealing with multiple angles and curves.
