Slimline pen twist too easy

Hi, I’m new to pen turning, bought some $2 slimline pen kits for myself from pennstateind, they came out great. The only problem i have is that they tend to close too easy when i use them. Not sure if i did something wrong when i made them. Does anyone have the same experience? Any solution? Thanks.

My experience is about the same. I’m thinking it is the $2 kit.
