Hello All:
I have some heavily figured English Walnut slabs (15” x 4’ x 5/4). Got em a long time ago and have no recollection of what I paid. Now a local guitar builder wants to buy them from me and I’d like to give him a fair price. So far I have not been able to find any pricing locally or on the web. Can any of you help me out with pricing?
Thanks,
Jim

Rip

If they are anything like I have seen before the going price is about $30bf
I would love to make a box for couples to give away. :)
hope it helps.

Looks exactly like the example on the right:

If it looks anything like the pic on right, it is going to be spendy. The $30bf price Arlin suggested seems reasonable for that level of figure and width. I recently pd $7 a bf for some figured walnut, not that figured, not that wide from my usual sawyer who normally charges me $1-3 a bf.

So what are they charging for it at the place you got the photo from ??

No pricing on the web. Only one person at that yard and he was out when I called. I’ll try again Monday but was hoping some LJs would have an idea.
No luck with any other yards so far.

Maybe look at Goby Walnut in Portland Oregon. They have prices on their site.
