Every once in awhile, Woodworker’s Journal has the 10% Grizzly coupons attached to the cover. I’m not a big fan of the green Chinese machinery so if anyone has a use for the coupon code, have at it…

Code: 12WJ7456797GA
Expires 4/30/12. Minimum purchase $300.

If you use the code, let us know so others don’t waste their time. Thanks.

Isn’t that code expired?

I made this thread six months ago and it was “pending moderation” until today, for whatever reason.

Yeorwned – is this kind of coupon available when purchasing the magazine at a local newsstand or is this something that only subscribers get?

I believe they are only available for subscribers, as many woodworking magazines often come with a paper cover glued to the front of each magazine with various promotional offers from sponsors. I’ve never seen this same removable, paper cover on any of the store copies. In fact, I believe Fine Woodworking has included one offer on each magazine I’ve gotten this year. The most recent edition had a free shipping code to Rocker, with no minimum.

Yeorwned – thanks for the feedback. I wonder whether this is how it works for other magazines, such as Wood for example? How do you like Fine Woodworking?

I should note that it was actually Woodworker’s Journal that had a coupon code, rather than Fine Woodworking. I’m currently subscribed to Wood, Woodworker’s Journal, and Popular Woodworking, as I’ve been able to find lots of very cheap renewal rates ($5 a year in most cases). Out of all of the magazines, I find Woodworker’s Journal to have the best content and be the least bias, where Wood seems to be quite questionable at times. I’d probably opt out of “Wood” if I did it again.

I don’t have Fine Woodworking anymore but it’s one of the best magazines for those with advanced skills, as the projects/ideas in the other mainstream magazines are designed for ease of construction and simplicity. With the age of the Internet, these magazines are really only good for inspiration with the occasional tool review, even though you’ll find many of the same quality tool reviews online now without payment.

Yeorwned – I’ll have to check out Woodworker’s Journal. Thanks for the info.
