Hello everyone I have a Skil Router model number 1825 and last night when I went to use it a part came off the motor and sparks flew and I opened it but I don’t think it can be fixed. Does anyone know where I can purchase a new motor for my router on the specs list on the skil site there is no number so I guess they don’t sell the motor seperate Please help?

I believe that Skills is now a part of Bosch and you might try them or

you might also try

They seem to have many different parts available. I found a replacement part for my very old Workmate.

The only thing about replacement parts is that many times the parts may cost as much as a new tool when you add in shipping/handling/taxes.

I’m guessing a new router would be the more cost effective choice. There are some pretty good routers that go on sale for under $100. Hitachi M12VC, Milwaukee 5615, Craftsman 27683, and even the new HF router for $50 is getting decent reports so far.
