Does anyone know of the best deal on the HF 2HP dust collector? I’ve seen people mention an ad in Woodworking mags as low as $138. What is currently the best deal on this unit #97869 ? I know it’s on sale and I have a 20% off coupon, but I’m shopping for an even better deal advertised somewhere. Thanks :) |

I think the $138 deal is outdated. I’ve been watching this item for about 4 months now and the best I’ve seen is $199 plus 20% off coupon. They say it’s a sale, but the price never changes. Once in a blue moon HF will send out a 25% off coupon for holidays and such. Either way this DC is a really good deal. -- Rex |

Look in Wood Magazine, or DIY or Handyman magazines and there is usually a HF sale page near the back. For the 2hp dust collector I used to regularly see the price was $139. Some stores won’t let you combine the 20% off coupon with the sale price. It’s printed right on the coupon that it is not to be combined with other sales, but I have used one that way. I have also been turned down. You just have to go and ask. You can join their “Inside Track” club for $29 and you always get the lowest sales price for everything you buy and even better prices on the special flyer that comes out each month for club members only. In addition they also give you a $10 gift coupon to use when ever you want. I got my drill press and my nail gun and my lathe and my dust collector through this club membership and saved way more than the $29. But there is only a small price advantage of the club membership and the magazine coupons but the club has a 6 to 8 page flyer full of deals while the magazine adds are just a single page. If you are only looking for one item and it’s in a magazine add you might not save anything extra after you pay the membership. -- Michael :-{| Diapers and politicians both need to be changed often; and for the same reason. |

I paid 149.00, haven’t seen it cheaper in about 2 years now and I was looking for about 6 months before buying mine. And the three local HFs are cheaper then I am and wouldn’t let me combine with a 20% off the whole purchase coupon. -- --Rev. Russ in NY-- A posse ad esse |
