So I’ve have just found some time to work on my jointer, it dose not turn on on its own. I tore it down and fount it seems to have a relay out sears pn 62975 I think maybe its a relay or a capaciter of some sort I have no clue I’m going to try to replace it if not I’m going to convert it to a single phase 1/2 hp but what should the rpm be?

Your existing motor should have it’s RPMs listed on the data plate.. if you let people know exactly what model jointer you have, it would make it easier to determine.
