I found this at my father-in-law’s house. Very dense wood. I would like to know what the thing is and what the wood is if anyone thinks they know. I have no clue on either. Thanks in advance!

Nice Sherlock work there PK … i thought it could be boatwood too.

It looks like it has some finish on it but PK’s question is suggesting it might be teak.
