Topic tags/keywords: bandsaw grizzly shop fox question

I am planning to buy either the Grizzly G0513×2b or G051×2bf. Both list the size of the base as 27” x 17 3/4”. Grizzly sells a mobile base made by Shop Fox that lists its size range as 20” x 20” to 29” by 29”. Since I happen to already have this Shop Fox base I plan to use mine.

But if the base is 27×17 3/4 how does it fit on a 20” x 20 base?

I recall reading somewhere that you needed to use plywood on the base. I don’t recall if they were talking about the Shop Fox base.

You won’t have any trouble fitting the base you have to the band saw you want. The base is adjustable and snugs down with bolts.

The headache you will have is getting that beast on the base.

Good luck…................

The base fits. Cool!
