Just got a couple logs back from our local mill. Had it done in 4/4 and 8/4 stock. Thought you might like to see some Alaskan hardwood.

I am leaning toward a custom front door for the house with the thicker stock. I don’t have any specific plans for the 4/4 stuff yet but will find uses for it. My wife like the looks of the Maloof style rockers so the 8/4 may end up in a rocker.

The logs came from a couple of trees in my yard that needed to come down. The tops were dying and they were kind of in the way of snow plowing in the winter. I have some more on a small wood lot that I will harvest this coming winter. Hope to have lots more of it this time next year.

Those are some gorgeous boards that you have to work with. They will make the project special since you owned the trees that it came from.
