So… I am a novice. Hence the name. I am having trouble with my new Vega Pro 40 table saw fence upon installation.

Here goes…

When the fence/head unit is resting on the front rail/tube, it wiggles around about 1/16 of an inch. Meaning, it is not resting flush – there is quite a bit of play. But, there is no real way to make it seat better. It really is seated as much as possible, it just has some wiggle to it. So, when I go to move the fence, the fence/head unit wiggles which shoots the fence at least 1/8-1/4 of an inch in the direction you are pushing and thus out of square. I did not see a tightening screw to take out the play either. I am confused…. What in the world am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help.

JT

What happens if you partially engage the handle to take up the wiggle room?

That was going to be my suggestion. I thought I had the same problem… then I noticed that it only happened when I was holding the handle up while moving the fence.

Good luck,
