Sawstop Mobile base question

The industrial base is better, but more expensive. I have the integrated and it’s good also. The main difference is the industrial swivels on all four casters so it’s easier to move the saw in any direction. With the integrated you run into that usual half fixed/half swivel dilemma that requires you to steer the saw in an awkward fashion.

Both are good bases, but if you don’t mind the extra $$, go industrial.

Live4ever described it perfectly. I have the professional cabinet saw but put it on the industrial base. I much prefer the 4 independent caster for maneuverability.

Just so you know the industrial saw is about 4” deeper – front to back. Thus the industrial mobile base will stick out about 4” on the back side of the professional model.
