I’m not sure if this is some wormy maple or something else.
I have several that are similar but those don’t have as many worm holes.

It’s wormy something. Maple looks about right, but it’s hard to tell. Maybe a picture of a blank of the same stuff, if you have it.

Ambrosia Maple. The holes are made by the ambrosia beetle and the blue-green stain is caused by a symbiotic fungus that rides in on the beetle’s body. Very desirable stuff!

Ambrosia Maple…I remember that one now. You are right WD, that is exactly what it is.
I have 2 more with the same figuring. Not sure about the bottom one as it seems kind of plain.
