OK, all you woodworking maniacs (is there such a thing as a womaniac?). Let’s see those gardens. Flower, vegetable, illegal, etc. If it’s illegal no one will tell. I’ll start. You have to remember that the last few days in Sacramento it’s been hot, hot, hot. Today is forecast for 108. If that doesn’t stress a garden nothing will. And putting extra water on does not matter. The plants use it faster than they can suck it up. Anyway, here we go.

Wow, 108, I’ve got to give you an “A” for effort. Here in the Austin area we still haven’t recovered from the 90 days of 100 and plus heat we had last year. Most people in our area aren’t even trying to add to their yards, it just maintain what you have left even though this year we are not anywhere near that record.
Beautiful plants, is that a potatoe vine in the first photo?

The vine on the lamp post is morning glory. A weed in Oregon but not in CA. Has to be tightly contolled or it will take over.

Welcome to my world..

Looking out the front porch. Life in the city..

and a look out the back door, into a woods. Small lot, on a steep hillside, with a large woods in back. Takes maybe 20 minutes to mow the yard….
