There are several types of willow, but I’ve never seen any for sale; heard it has a toxin about it. Unaware of hazel. Pacific yew only grows in the Pacific Northwest, a little in NW Cali and upwards into Canada, making it difficult to come by; they like their fir forests to make money, yew is fairly worthless and unplanted. It is definately toxic, care should be taken to not breathe the dust. Gilmers exotic wood in Portland Oregon sometimes has it, popular as a bow wood; I have a couple staves of it myself. I wouldn’t bank on it being cheap, as very few people have it to sell so they sell high. -- Power tools put us ahead of the monkeys |
