Abouit $13 per board foot.

It would have to be very special at that price.

it better have images of Jesus and angels in the grain on it like that lady with the Grilled cheese did a few years back

I have been surprised sometimes at how much people want to charge for lumber on craigslist. I mean, i know sometimes there is a special piece and all, but man some people.

One guy woodmizers logs at home. Wants 7 bucks a board foot for Walnut. It’s air dried only. Also, he doesn’t paint the ends so you have about 3-6 inches of crackage to deal with.

I can get it for less than that and it’s kiln dried at the lumber yard.

Depends on the quality. That price could be dirt cheap. Could also be overpriced firewood as well. Lots of different wood gets called mahogany and walnut. Depends a lot on what kind it is and the grain. The larger widths can command a premium price.

I just sent him an e-mail asking him to send pictures so that I could get an idea of just how exquisite his lumber is.

I’m not sure if that is out of line or not. I think I paid close to that for genuine mahogany last winter.
