That is a beefy machine. It is a Thor Power Tool. They were in my home town of Aurora, Ill. My brother in law and his dad worked there for many years.
I’ll bet that is heavy to lift!

Did you buy it??????

$65 isn’t a bad price either.. I’ve often thought of selling off my vintage circular saw, but the thing just works too good and is built like a tank. Like you say, you can’t get this kind of quality any more:

Looks like the paper reads, “Working weight – 38 lbs.”

That’s one reason they don’t make them like that anymore.

Yeah…. But its better than nowdays “Stamped” steel circular saws…
I’m sure that “Stamped” steel the steel that comes from sardine cans or something.
