All. I’m new to the dado world. I picked up a CMT 12 Tooth 2 prong chipper set at Lowes on clearance for $55. It seems wonderful. Widths are dead on, bottom seems really flat. So what does one get with fancier dados with more teeth on the blades and chippers? Can you cut more quickly with it, does it splinter less, do the blade stay sharper longer?
I’m a glutton for punishment and just want to know what I’m missing out on.
Also. Is there a right way to arrange the chipper teeth? Should I off set each section 90 degrees, or have them close together, does it matter?
