Topic tags/keywords: winerack new wine wood black walnut

I just started woodworking and here is my first project: a wall hanging wine rack for a friend’s wedding gift.
I made it out of black walnut, with a 50/50 BLO MS finish and coated with Old Master’s Crystal Clear paste wax.

As a wine drinker, I like that. If it hangs on the wall, you get the age old problem of how to hold up all the weight! But I especially like the color. Great job, welcome, and it’s obvious you have things and ideas to offer!!

Kv0nT welcome to LJ.
Your rack is very nice but there are just too few bottles!

Nice work. Welcome to LJ’s

How’s it look with a bottle of jack on the top?
