Topic tags/keywords: auction The WOOD Gods smiled on me today. Those of you who know me, knows I like to attend auctions whenever possible. This was my purchase from the auction yesterday that I would like to share with you. Well it’s part of it anyway, what is on the truck and trailer is just the first trip. I’ll be hauling the rest of it today. I was able to purchase 1000 bd ft of white oak, red oak, and cherry. This has been stickered and stacked in a barn for the past 4 years. Price for lumber, $200….. I’ll admit, Bidding on it was a much easier then figuring out where to put it and what to build with it….. I also was able to buy a stack of wood porn and plans for a $1

Oh so nice! Great find there! I did something similar one time and bought a bunch of craigslist oak and didn’t really have anywhere to put. So, you are in Indiana? I am just next door in Ohio :) and I have LOTS of room. Lucky you – but as they say: The harder you work, the luckier you get. I am sure you spent a lot of time at many auctions with nothing to show. Now, it pays off. Congrats. -- Kay - Just a girl who loves wood. |
