I have a slight hand plane problem, and have ended up with some duplicates. I also ended up with a full set of 92s, so I’m unloading my 93s (skewed). Here’s the first pair on the chopping block. This is a matched pair of skew iron #2 hollow and round planes from the Sandusky Tool Company.
I would rate the set as G++, due to the light rust on both irons and some wear on the wedge finials. The plane bodies themselves would likely rate closer to Fine. There is not much available in terms of type studies, but thier condition and consistency in sizing lead me to believe they are a later pair. Heres the round. Heres the hollow. The only apology is the slight bend to the iron, but the bend is in the part that is outside of the plane body, and it still seats perfectly. I’m asking 75 for the pair, shipping included. They will be sent in a flat rate box, with the irons wrapped in Rust inhibiting (VCI) paper. The planes condition is guaranteed by me. If you are unsatisfied at any point, please ship them back to me in the same condition for a full refund minus your return shipping costs. Paypal accepted, 3% discount for checks. Please PM me for details. -- Chris @ Atlanta - JGM - Occam's razor tells us that when you hear hoofs, think horses not zebras. |
