Hello, everyone!
I’m posting to let everyone know that someone is now selling a zero-clearance throat plate for the PM66 that is similar to the Wood Dynamics awesome TP. As you probably know, Wood Dynamics went out of business and their throat plates are highly sought after, since they were the best. Last I read from a post was that a guy was trying to have them made but he was looking at $300 bucks a piece. The plates I’m telling you about are being sold for $85.
They look similar except for a few modifications: There seems to be a notch-out on the bottom for bolt clearance and there might be more set screws. I believe there are 7 set screws (5 on top/bottom and 2 on the side).
He’s selling them on Ebay so you can do a search for them.
I’ve been looking for a new one of these for some time, and I be many of you have too. Thought I’d pass on the word!

I would really love to get one of these for my sawstop PCS series… Can you give me your contact information?
I’m unable to message you currently as I don’t have five posts on Lumberjocks. Just getting my feet wet.

Thank you
Nathan Ruble

85 dollars for a throat plate! Yikes that would be way too much for this hobbiest to pay! I’ve been making throat plates for my General and am wondering why the PM plates would be so much?

In regards to the Sawstop series, the inserts are $39. You can do the math from there…depending on one’s need for zero clearance while using a dado stack, it can get pretty pricey in about 30 seconds or so. I’m dying for one of these. $85? Deal.
