I normally wouldnt post something like this on this forumn, but I am a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer. On Friday in Aurora, CO two US Navy Sailors were killed in the massacre in the movie theater. One was an old Shipmate I served with on USS Nimitz. His name was MM1 Jon Blunk. He died while shielding his girlfriend from the deadly fire. RIP Jon, thise of you that have served in the military understand the bond that is formed between men. I pray his family may find peace.

Sorry about your battle buddy, Chief. I hope his loved ones take some comfort in that he went with honor and died a hero.

Sorry to hear of your loss. My heart goes out to the families and friends of the innocent victims. What the hell is the matter with these nut-cases out there.. That guy shoulda been marched out to the closest tree and hung. No questions! That’s how I’d do it in my court !!!

As always, the engineers are the unsung heroes of the fleet. Those are they can do men who live by the motto “The difficult jobs take about 10 minutes. The impossible takes a little longer!’ Let’s keep all who are effected by the tragedy in our prayers. Always, always, always stand with our veterans. God bless them all.
