Hey there,

I have about 20,000 bdft of mostly pine barn board that I am looking to sell. Is there a standard price for this stuff or is it graded, and how much is it worth?

Ive tried my hand at sellin barn board myself and its tough. I think i sold about 40 pieces for $400, all pine and very wide. The markets tough for this kind of stuff especially at that amount. Everyone wants somethin for nothin. The guy i sold it to makes barn board tables. Good luck.

Try selling it to someone in Louisiana. There are some crafty dudes down there who might buy loads of it from you. Just check for Louisiana handmade furniture.

There is a company called “Timeless Material” in Kitchener-Waterloo area, they also have a store in South Hampton.Ontario. Try contacting them for quotes.
MOST people do not know how much work it takes to get the lumber properly and what all is involved to remove nails, etc.
Good luck

How much of it is usable or can be made usable. Lots of barn wood is urine and/or feces soaked and is probably useless.

I’ve known a couple of people who thought it would make great firewood then realized that their fireplace didn’t draw as well as it should. – lol
