Just a question: Are you absolutely sure these are mesquite? The mesquite I have is a dark chocolate to black color.

Sold, but yes, they are honey mesquite from Rio Grande Valley. Where is your mesquite from?
There is black mesquite in N. Texas, velvet mesquite west of here more in the higher dry’r climate.
Screwbean which i havnt seen and a few other mesquite species also.
