Do you have any suggestions for stopping the chatter on my new 6” Grrrizzly belt sander. Just got it this week and am working on technique. Hubby changed the belt (ordered alum oxide from Grizzly) and that helped a bit. Not really sure if the better cloth backed belts would help or is it my technique? Thanks in advance for any help.

make sure the 2 rollers are parallel and it has good tension on the belt.

Try reducing the pressure.

BTW forget Grizzly for abrasives!!! Klingspor or Industrial Abrasives, both much high quality for usually less money.
