I’m in the process of building a drum sander and have ready numerous posts and build logs on these on LJ, but the ones I’ve found didn’t say where they bought their adhesive hook side to epoxy to the hook side to. If this has already been addressed here (which I’m sure it has but with SO many posts, I was not able to find it), a link to the forum thread would be great too. Thanks.

When I start construction, I’ll take pictures / videos and post them.

I know where but I wouldn’t recommend hook and loop. It’s OK for light surface sanding but if you light thickness sanding you will not get a truly flat surface.

I’ve been in the commercial shops for 40 years and put drum sanders at the bottom of the list and even lower with hook and loop.

This is what I have used to convert multiple drum sanders.
No need for epoxy, there is adhesive already applied.

I used it in my SS sander here and liked it so much I converted my dual drum sander back home.
Again no need for epoxy.

Thanks for all of the replies.

Rick, I find it interesting that you comment on the forums when your profile says “LumberJocks is the worst wood forum I’ve ever seen…”

I wasn’t asking for your advice and you don’t need to throw all of your experience in everyone’s face like you do in many of your posts. If LJ is truly the worst you’ve ever seen, no one is forcing you to come back.
