Topic tags/keywords: walnut root free wood

My client wanted some black walnut surface roots removed from his lawn. I don’t blame him; they were right on the surface.

If you’re in the Fort Worth/Dallas area, you can have the wood if you want it. It’s 18”-48” long and 3”-12” in diameter. Some of it is crotch wood.

It’s free if someone wants it. E-mail me at: NewLifeHomeImprovement@tx.rr.com

I used some Osage Orange root wood for some pens. The wood is usuall figured because of all the pressure that is placed on it as it grows.

I’m in Arlington near 287 and Cooper – right next to Mansfield. The wood is sitting on my driveway, so feel free to come get it. You should be able to fit all of it into an SUV. It has dirt on it, so bring a tarp to protect your vehicle.

If there’s anything you don’t want, just leave it. I’ll dispose of it.

I’m glad you might be able to use it. It ought to make some nice turnings.
