ok so for a while not i have been asking about different saws and came across this saw threw a fellow worker. the purpose of this saw is to be just for a crosscut-sled and maybe some ripping. here is my old craftsman Photobucket

my poor cast iron top in need of some love

as of this afternoon i have torn her down and have wire brushed the top and found some nice drill starts and some pitting but it is not bothering me much ill deal with it as i go along. im going to look for someone to bead blast or sand blast my shell

made a zero clearance insert today and got my big-little helper to sand for me!

i ordered a delta t2 fence last Friday for my other saw and am going to polish the original fence and track and see if anyone else needs parts of the original fence that i have extra of

Those King Seely saws are pretty nice – I have three. If you go over to the vintage machinery or OWWM.com website you can find TONS of these saws in the photo index. I tried to clean the engine turned plate on a drill press and it all kind of disappeared. Don’t get in a hurry to clean it without looking through the archives over there.

are you sure that’s a king seely? fifth pic down shows a model number starting with 113. i thought that was the numerical designation for emerson electric.

it is indeed an emerson electric table saw. so today we made a little lead way and put some paint on her and i went ahead and bought a craftsman hand plane. dont mind the colors its my little-big brothers choice and he wanted red with black so red and black it is.
