Drill press table height adjustments

What about a small scissor lift like the one I use on my router.
How much travel do you need?

The total usable travel is near 20”. I had a car jack under it for a while, but it kept binding up and I couldn’t figure a way around it.

Dan I just read your other post where you talk about buying a Saw Stop, why don’t replace your drill press?
I bought most of my tool either used or Rigid or Harbor Freight or used and Harbor Freight.
I bought a one year HF old 12 speed floor drill press for $100.00.
It works like champ

Bert, I hope I didn’t post that I was going to buy a SawStop! On principle I won’t even consider it. Did you mean Super Shop?

However, I may look into a floor model dp that has the rack and piinion. Thanks.
