Hello all,
I found this item on CL but it’s the older gray version. It’s too late to call and inquire about it but before I do I wanted to see if anyone has the old, gray version and if they’ve experienced any issues with it. Ive had my eyes on the new orange model for a while and I know these get great reviews overall. Specifically:

1) what are the differences, if any, outside of color?

2) how hard is it to find replacement belts/sleeves? If anyone has a link to where they purchase for this model specifically that’d be really appreciated.

Thanks.

Can’t comment about the color differences (if any) but I think the consumables are the same and Home Depot has those. They are a bit pricey IMO. One of these days I’ll try to find oem stuff online for a better price. If you find somewhere let us know as I could use some new drums for mine.

Hi Matt
I think these guys may be able to help you out.

http://www.industrialabrasives.com/sanding-sleeves-replacement-abrasive-spindle-sleeves-c-77_99.html

I’ve ordered hook & loop ROS pads from them in the past and was very happy with what I got.

Hope this helps.

thanks guys, appreciate it. unfortunately it’s a moot point as he replied he was asking $200 for it. i politely informed him it retails for $200 with a lifetime warranty for the newer model, not sure what he’s thinking.

Yes, there are some real princes out there on CL. I saw an add for a Ridgid 14” Bandsaw and the guy was asking $800. I sent him an email and just suggested maybe there was a missprint because it sold for less than that new. He called me an A..hole and told me to mind my own F…ing business.

Michael, I have run into similar scenarios with the Ridgid bandsaws. They used to sell for that much. Home deopt now sells them for 369.99, and they often go on sale for 289.99. I got called a lot worse, so I followed it up with a link to the website. My next response was something along the lines of “ugh, 300$ and it’s yours”. After reading reviews though I am going to pass unless I can get one for under 100$
