Topic tags/keywords: question

I got a box of hand planes at a yard sale, and there was a Fowler plane in the box, its longer than my # 5, but shorter than my # 6. I haven’t been able to find any information on the computer about them and I was just wondering if maybe if one of you guys might of heard of these planes before.

Thanks

It seems to me I have seen that brand name somewhere…
maybe in Garret Hack’s book on hand planes.

Manufacturers of these tools flourished prior to WW2
but were gradually absorbed by Stanley and maybe one
or two other makers like Millers Falls and Buck Bros.

I may have seen or owned a Fowler moulding plane or
plow plane at some point… the name just seems familiar
to me.
