I found one of these locally on Craigslist being sold for $100. The seller claims it runs well. Does this sound like a good deal?

Well… does it come with new/replacement blades, and how are the brushes? Ask the seller…
Is it the AP1300?
If so, if you buy it, the blades are cheap ($20), although, if you plane alot of stuff, and Heavy thick hardwoods, then a stationary planer would be worth it.

The Ap-12 model is a pretty old planer…
Getting new blades for it would be a hassle, unless you buy it online from amazon as home depot doesn’t sell them… Also, there have been a few complaints of those motors siezing up. In my opinon, I would just get the Ridgid R4330 for $399. I have one, and its great!
