Has anyone seen or tried to use molding knives as lathe tools. I was looking at some of the scraping tools on the market, such as easy beaders, and thought their profile looked like a molding knife I have from an older craftsman molding knife set. I saw the following on eHow “according to “Decristoforo’s Complete Book of Power Tools.” The larger the size of the knife, the slower the feed.”

It was from a section claiming that such things can be done.

Any thoughts?

Wouldn’t this just be a version of an Oland Tool.

You’d need to make a handle, but sure, it would work as a scraper.
