Most everyone likes the Ridgid 3660 and it does seem to be a sweet TS. I just discovered the Jet Pro Shop model SWLFR for $ 690.00 delivered. Is the Jet a better TS ?
Would like replies ASAP because I am wanting to order very soon.

The jet pro shop model does appear to be a better saw if it is the one I am thinking about. Instead of a contractors saw it is what they call a hybrid between the contractor and cabinwt saws. It also looks like it comes with a better fence. All the ones I looked at were around 1000 though. Make sure that it comes with the fence, cause one of those will cost you around a couple hundred dollars.

I got the ridgid cause I was on a budget and it appeared to be the most saw for the money. I love it, and while the fence system is pretty good it is not nearly as heavy duty as the bestlemire style fences. For the money it is a great saw.

hi

i dont know about you but when i look at something whatever it is i buy the one that feels most comfortable to me these are both very good models and if the price is about the same then go with your gut instinct i cant say which is better than the other as each offer different aspects that enhance thier proformance

this probably doesn’t help you that much but i hope you enjoy which ever one you buy

I know the Ridged rates most saw for the money – but its a lightweight style contractor saw. The Jet or Delta with the Besymer fence (in my opinion) makes for a better overall saw. Its still moveable while providing the weight and stability needed for precision type cutting: Remember to upgrade to a nice Freud fusion blade! Don’t get a nice saw then run crappy blade – its just waisting money and time. Ben

The Jet does come with the Jet Pro Fence… model JE 708480 K. $705.00 delivered
I am going to try my best to buy this saw. Does anyone have it and if so how do you like it ?

I like the way the blade adjusts ! A real plus in my decision to get this saw.
