Topic tags/keywords: plane

My wife is a professional photographer. She is shooting photos for an upcoming article I am

writing for Popular Woodworking Magazine about inlay.

As I was getting things set up, she took a few minutes and some planes and came up with this

image. If only my finished work looked this good.

I may steal her idea for a photo of my own collection.

Saw this on the other site and was disappointed when opening the thumbnail and said so. But seeing it here again at full size I can appreciate the beauty of this photo.

her tecnic is spot on
but I can´t see the idea in this picture if it isn´t just to
say you can control your depth in the photo as you wish
and with the right light setup make it sparkle
and if that is the point …... well done

don´t get upset its just my 2 cent :-)

Looks good. The wide aperture lets in plenty of light and allows the narrow depth of field she achieved. Focusing on the middle plane gives a nice effect. Keep up the good work!

Very nice Marco. I have seen your wife’s photography and she’s very good. It’s nice that you both have complementary hobbies/professions. I am looking forward to your up coming article as well.
