I just recently added a new dust collector to my shop (see my recent review on the G0440 cyclone with a measured fan curve) I figured it was about time that I got serious about collection dust since I will probably be woodworking for another 40 years (If I’m lucky!). My shop is in a two car garage attached to my house. I have been more and more weary that just walking in and out of the shop is moving the fine dust into the house and exposing my family to harmful levels of dust. I make a habit of keeping doors to the house close and run a homebuilt air scrubber while i’m in the shop and usually leave it running for about an hour before turning it off. I noticed on Bill Pentz’ site that he uses the Dylos meter. It looks like it is a decent price when compared against most other particle meters on the market. If anybody has one, I would be interested in hearing about your experience with it.
