Anyone else hear the rumor there'd be no US west coast Woodworking Show tour this fall?

was planning the rest of my 2012 vacation days and usually reserve the Friday of The Woodworking Show, but heard there’d be no show in Portland, OR this fall, and that there’d be little presence at all on the US west coast.

Is this true? Please advise.

I heard that there will be no stop in Denver. That may be a direct relation to the west coast not getting any attention this year as well. Anybody else out there know anything official??

had already checked the website and saw they only had 2013 Jan thru March scheduled (no 2012 Fall schedule).
So, I sent an email to (Business Development/Sales contact). Will let you know if I get a reply.

I’ve been going to this show for several years and have seen it seem to get smaller every year. I hope it’s improved for 2013. I was really disappointed in Tampa last year.

I kinda wish they would drop the Atlanta show from the schedule … I can’t stay home, and it’s not been worth going to for at least 12-14 years now.

I remember when it was in a big cattle barn in the Farmer’s Market area of south Atlanta … EVERYONE who was anyone was there. It took at least a day just to stop and look at what was for sale in each booth … now, you can go through it twice in about an hour and a half, just to make sure you didn’t miss something worth while.

They are going the way of the computer shows … everyone went to the shows to see & handle what was for sale … then went home and ordered it for less $$$$ online.
