Where to retire???

I am an avid amateur woodworker approaching my retirement. My wife and I began talking about what area of the country we might like to retire to. Towards that end I’d be very curious to hear from the LJ community on this topic. Would you recommend any particular area/city that you think is especially accommodating to the amateur woodworker (climate, access to good varieties of hardwood, local woodworking communities, etc.)
