Topic tags/keywords: woodworking awards summer 2012

I noticed that the entries will begin to be accepted at the beginning of July, just wondering if anyone has got a heads on their project for this summer? I’m still having a hard time envisioning a “personal picnic butler”... although I’m sure with all the talent out there on Lumberjocks, it’ll be interesting to see the entries start to roll in!

I don’t know if I have the time to participate (too many other cool projects! If I have spare cycles I wanna build an art boat for the Rivertown Revival races!), but the first thing that comes to mind is…

We have a small patio out in our front yard on which we eat dinner, and a device which unfolds to be an auxiliary table to hold serving dishes, and serves as a caddy to carry silverware, plates, cups and condiments out there seems doable. Maybe it folds like a TV tray, but the top is a thicker box that’s open on the side that would fall up when it’s folded, and it’s got a handle…
