Opinions needed. Looking for a quality jointer.

Keep an eye on Craigslist. There are many deals to be had, you just have to look for them. I got a $900.00 Jet jointer for $500.00 with 2 new sets of extra knives.

I found a like new Grizzly 6” jointer model #G1182 for $300.00. It comes with an extra set of blades, knife setting jig, pair of push blocks and a mobile base. Is it worth it?

The 1182 is a very nice jointer….rated #1 by Wood Mag in Sept 2001. It came from the same plant in Taiwan as the Jet, GI, Sunhill, Woodtek, Bridgewood, and others. Mine’s been flawless for 10+ years. $250-$275 is a fair offer if it’s nice shape.
