Topic tags/keywords: tip lathe turning

I’m getting ready to turn some bottle stoppers and I was wondering what finish that other turners use on their bottle stoppers and why you prefer that finish. Do you like poly, lacquer, CA, a friction polish or wax? What is most durable and best suited for the purpose?

Waterborne poly or rattlecan lacquer.
