As many of you know already, I have a boat load of salvaged rock maple flooring.

I have significantly more than I need for anything and would love to see a lot of it get happy homes for projects with other people.

Here is how they clean up:

The wood is all Michigan-grown, old-growth very hard maple with very distinctive grain. Some of it is a little curly, some of it is kind of wild, a lot of it is birdseye (in varying amounts), and in varying amounts of contrast. So basically – whatever character you like in your hard maple, I have it!

The dimensions after I saw off the tongue, groove and slats on the back is roughly .75×1.75 – you can probably get it a bit thicker on all dimensions if you are braver with the tablesaw than I am. :)

I am more than happy to ship it to you if you pay the shipping price. I have sent out flat-rate boxes packed as solidly as I can and I have had people show up at my door and fill the back of their car… so whatever amount interests you… is good by me.

If you can handle sawing it off and getting rid of the old surface (goes through the planer just fine, esp. if you are doing smaller amounts) it would be cheaper than if you want me to do any part of that. Price will vary depending on that, what features you want, and how much you want..

I am also open to trade! For wood or equipment.

If you are interested you can PM me here or send me an email, lisbokt@gmail.com.

Being in the flooring biz, I get more hardwood flooring scraps than I can use, but its still hard for me to dispose of them. I have stacks and boxes and buckets full and overflowing with oak, maple, cherry, walnut. What you are offering is a treasure trove for someone. Such a gift is very generous, I hope some lucky folks see this and take advantage of your generosity.
