As some of you know, Neil has been seriously abused by the justice system in Ft. Collins, Col. A short synopsis is that because of his chemically burned eyes, he is in constant pain, needs quiet to sleep, but a neighbors barking dogs have driven him to the brink of a desperate situation. Read the full story here http://lumberjocks.com/topics/37402.
In an attempt, however clumsy, to help, I started a petition on change.org. http://www.change.org/petitions/tell-responsible-justice-agencies-in-ft-collins-to-do-right-for-mr-brooks-release-neal-brooks-vacate-the-order-to-stay-at-least-450-ft-from-nieghbors?utm_campaign=petition_created_email&utm_medium=email&utm_source=guides
Please go there and sign it. If we get a lot of signatures, I will present it to the networks and try to get them involved. I am going to try to contact the ACLU on Monday as they have a good record in civil rights cases such as this. If any of you have any other ideas, jump in. If you are from Colorado, put pressure on your congressmen and senators, or state legislators.
If you read Neil’s story, you will realize he has stepped into a s**t sandwich. The good ol’ boy network is in full steam to screw Neil and protect those who have no consideration for others. Come on, people. Jump on this and help out. “If we don’t hang together, we will most assuredly hang seperately!” (Benjamin Franklin to the Continental Congress after the signing of the Declaration of Independence)
