Craftsman Bench Saw

Have you looked on VintageMachinery.org? I couldn’t find a manual for your model, do you have one? Check out these pdf Sears Tool Catalogs from the Vintage Machinery site. 1938, 1939, 1940, 1941, and others . I think your saw should be in at least one of them. I don’t know what you mean by a mounting bracket. My old motors have mounts cast onto them. You would bolt the motor behind the saw or under it on a shelf (with a hole for the belt). -Jack

You may have to have one fabricated if you don’t have the capability to make one yourself. A piece of 1/4 inch steel plate with hinges welded on each end will work just fine. For a saw that old you probably not be able to find the part. Good luck.

I’m assuming that saw has a tilting arbor, hence you can’t just mount the motor to a stand as suggested. Post a wanted in the classifieds of Vintage Machinery site – people part out small saws like that all the time.
