I picked up a Omega 6 inch Jointer tonight and was looking for any information on the company and if parts are available for it. The return spring is broken on the blade cover and would really like to have it fixed at some point. The machine states it’s from Chicago, IL but made in Tawain, it also has a year of 1985 on the silver plate on the front of the unit.
The machine is a beast with a 1 hp motor and it seems to be pretty square. I placed my angle gauge on it and the fence and the table are only off by 0.02 degrees (0.00 and 89.98) or so. Thats just a matter of adjusting the fence a little if I feel the need to.
Any input would be helpful.
