I am trying to find wood to match this desk but do not know what this is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Might be cherry but it could be a lot of things. If you
can find something paler with the same type of porosity
and general grain appearance, a good finisher can make
the woods match without too much trouble.

It could be anything, I’ll go out on a limb and say it is not MDF.

It’s definitely hard to tell from that far away and the fact that it looks stained doesn’t help either.
