I found this saw on CL. It is a Disston back saw. It looks a little rough, but I think could be cleanup up reasonably well for a user. For the $8 price, I think it would be worth the investment. I’m not looking for a full restoration to its original glory.

I’m thinking this would work well as a user tenon saw. What do you think, will this make a good tenon saw? Is that not really the intended use for a saw like this?

I would take a pass on this one. I believe I see a big crack in the handle and the plate or spine has shifted. There are many of these in the wild, find yourself a nicer example.
