Topic tags/keywords: question bandsaw

Hi, I have a 12 inch band saw model number 11324200. I am trying to repair it. I can’t figure out why my tension knob is not working, it won’t tighten or loosen. I took it all apart trying to understand but I’m stuck. Could it just need a new spring? If anyone might know it would be helpful. Thanks

It turns but it is not loosening or tightening. Either way you turn it does nothing.

Sounds like either the threads on the tensioning rod are stripped or not contacting the nut or the spring is broken or missing.
