CAN U USE THE HOMESTEAD DRY POWDER IN A CAN OF U MITE SAY STAIN TO ENHANCE? IT SAYS ONLY USE IN WATER, CAN IT BE USED IN SOLVENT OR JUST WATER? I was curious and did not want to destroy a can of stain,the stain I have is petroleum based, and I love the color just wanted to add alittle red to it

If it says “Only use in water” then I would only use it in water. You could pour some stain into a secondary container and try it in a small amount. Transtint dyes can be mixed in solvent or water based stains and finishes.
